Day 5 Nick D.

Explain one challenge you faced, and how how you overcame it? The biggest challenge i faced that day was that when we painted we were painting in really hot weather, so everybody was tired after 30 min. and you lost your stamina pretty fast. It was really hard to keep being consistant woth painting. It would have been quicke and easy to do a sloppy job and say "i am done". But i had to pull myself together and drink lots of water so i didn't get dizzy and and tried to keep cool. That is how i ept conbsistent while painting and not just doing a bad job fast.

What accomplishments are you proud of this week? Why are you proud of them?
I am most proud using the mitre saw and cutting all the wood. I am proud of this because i had known about mtre saws for a couple of years and i had heard all these stories of people getting their hands and fingers chopped of. that scared me a couple of years ago. But when i learned how to use it i learned that there was a chance that you could get hurt but i realised it was because of mistakes and if you just kept your concentration you wouldn't get hurt. So when i cut that piece of wood i felt that i had broken down a barrier of that if some tool is really dangreous ( sometimes) and people have had body parts cut of that if used correctly and that you don't fool around you won't have any problems.

What is the next step in your process to completing your project? how will you get there?
the nnext step in our project is to start bulding. We might have to do some finnishing touches of painting thae playwood but after that we can start to buld the gaga pit. To build it we will probably learn how to use drills properly (because we will be drilling)and be tought saftey precedues about building the gaga pit and what we should do and what we should not do while bulding the gaga pit. Then after everone has practice for an hour i think each group will get there instructions of what to do, how to do it, and we will start building.
